Edwin Mc Guinn- Chairman

ASH Advisory is a management consulting firm, concentrating on corporate advisory, capital formation and organizational development. Ed Mc Guinn is leading the development and delivery of corporate advisory and related services to enhance the effectiveness of organizations, their strategic processes and their people. Ed brings over 35 years of experience in executive management with companies across several industry areas. Ed’s experience spans the management of public and private companies in financial services, business services and internet marketing at the Chairman, CEO and divisional senior management level.

Most recently, Ed was Chairman and CEO of MRU Holdings, Inc. (MyRichUncle.com) a public educational finance company targeted to undergraduate and graduate students. It was the first company to utilize a direct to consumer strategy utilizing a unique origination and underwriting system. Prior to that, Ed was the Chairman and CEO of eLOT Inc. (formerly Executone) a public company whose primary focus was the development of telephony services, e-commerce and integrated network management systems for industrial, consumer, and governmental services. Ed also has been CEO to two financial services startups focusing on electronic fixed income trading and decision management software.

Additionally, Ed was head of the equity capital markets and corporate finance divisions for Mabon Securities and Rodman & Renshaw; both were investment banking boutiques specializing in capital market services and corporate advisory in consumer, specialty financial services, energy, health care and technology. He was also a Senior Managing Director and a member of Lehman Brothers Capital Markets Operating Committee. While at Lehman Brothers, Ed was responsible for developing Lehman’s global presence in domestic and international fixed income sales, trading and research.

Ed was a Senior Manager with Ernst & Young in the audit and management consulting division and advised senior client management and their related Board of Directors on strategic planning, risk management, and organizational development.

Ed presently sits on the Board of Directors of eLOT, Inc. an internet intellectual property services company and the advisory boards of Fundamental Credit Opportunities, L.P., a credit hedge fund, Tiedemann Investment Group, a multi-strategy hedge fund and One / Zero Capital, an investment holding company focused on leveraging technology with consumer finance. Ed has also lectured extensively on the topics of corporate governance and best business practices for the financial services industry and is actively involved with Greenwich Youth Lacrosse and several Colgate University related organizations.

Ed received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Mathematics from Colgate University and a Master of Science in Accounting from New York University. He holds NASD Series 7, 8, 24, 66 & 79 licenses along with a CPA license from the State of New York. He and his wife Donna reside in Greenwich, CT.
